I have been asked many questions recently about the hypnotherapy part of my practice, here are the most common ones.

What is the Difference between Hypnotists and Hypnotherapists? 


Hypnosis, which is a state of deep relaxation and heightened suggestibility and is the method which both hypnotists and hypnotherapists use with different outcomes needed. A hypnotist is commonly referred to as a person who uses hypnosis for entertainment purposes either stage or street hypnosis and hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis to treat a variety of psychological and physical conditions.  


Will hypnotherapy work for me?  


This depends on whether you believe it will work and whether you have the motivation to change. The hypnotherapist will already be playing their role by setting the wheels in motion as you enter their therapy room. They believe you will change and want you to succeed. All they ask is that you believe in the power of hypnosis and that you can change.  
 
Does hypnotherapy work online?  
Do you wonder if online hypnotherapy will work for you? The answer is YES effective online hypnotherapy will work for you? It’s natural to have questions. However, I have found that online hypnotherapy treatment is  as effective as face-to-face therapy. In fact, for some people they find it much easier to relax in the comfort of their own home which leads to the sessions becoming more effective. They can be more cost-effective for some clients as they have no travelling time or costs
 
What happens in a hypnotherapy session? 
You will have a first free, no obligation consultation to get to know each other, an opportunity for you to ask any questions and to ensure we are suited to working together. There follows a minimum of four sessions in which we work together towards your required outcome. I utilise a variety of coaching methods as well as the hypnotherapy if needed. Whilst in hypnosis you are fully in control and only take on any suggestions your unconscious minds consider necessary.

In conclusion, hypnotherapy is a powerful medium for treating a variety of conditions and improving your mental health and overall wellbeing. Although for a lot of clients it is not always their first port of call when seeking therapy, inevitably it is the correct choice.
